Sony Ericsson, the mobile phone manufacturer has announced the availability of W995a, a Wi-Fi and A2DP-enabled 3G (850/1900/2100MHz UMTS/HSPA) cell-phone, which has an 8.1-megapixel camera with photo snapper that features face detection, image stabilization and auto focus. The new device comes with Google Maps built-in to show to you, where you are, using 3G triangulation and automatically adds your location to your photos.
W995a features a 2.6-inch QVGA LCD display, Bluetooth, Memory Stick Micro slot, 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, AGPS, with geo-tagging capabilities, face detection, flash, autofocus, and dedicated buttons. It also has Media Go support, like the PSP. It has an 8GB Memory Stick Micro card and a USB connector cable. It also has Clear Stereo and Clear Bass technology, which Sony says enhances the audio quality, avoiding distortion in bass.
According to the company, the new device will be available from June 6 at a price of about $600.
