This movie is the  common story of every common household in which the parents are thrown out of their homes by their children soon they get established & get married. Children forgets the sacrifices done by their parents completely and compels their parents to find their way & support which their children should had provided This story is of the two different old parents smita & rajesh khanna who are thrown out of  their homes by their children and how the duo  cops up with the situation which arises after they become homeless.

In short the moral of this story is that if you want to be happy make others happy... Remove the miseries of others...By doing so your inner self will feel happy...and by your contribution others will forget their misery... so continue to do good deeds,... even if you face troubles ...as in the end you will drink only nector forgetting  all your miseries...
