"India after passing on Sixty Three Glorious Years of her Independence"

Before discussing were we stand after passing on of 60 glorious years of our independence it is important to have some glimpse of our past history.

India has a very great history in her name as being one of the most ancient civilizations of the world. It has a very rich cultural heritage. It has seen both the good and bad times but in spite of this it had survived all the odds and had always been a place of importance for whole of the world. It is only country in the world which has people with different faiths, ethnicity, races who are living in harmony and love since ages.

Now after passing of 60 years of our independence if we compare the period when India was striving to be free and when it has got the freedom there is major differences between these two scenarios.

Firstly we will take Pre Independence period.

During this period we were slaves and fighting collectively against the British Empire for our freedom. There was brother hood and people were peace loving and respected each others feeling. Took active part in each other joys and sorrows were supportive to each other and above all were patriotic and cared for their country. People were truthful, simple and majority of people were poor but in spite of this had self respect and were proud to belong to this great country India.

Now coming to second part Post Independence period

India has developed at very fast rate and is heading towards to be global leader. India has gained its name in every field may be Scientific, Engineering, Defence, Educational, Medical, Agriculture or in any discipline Indians are leading. India has one of the best Territorial Army in world equipped with latest weapons and is capable of foiling any enemies plot. The world is seeing the great potential here in every field whether its market, people, capabilities etc. and all the major companies have set their offices /plants here. India has now become the global leader in telecommunications, software development and in many more fields.

Our people have great talent and potential and are in great demand through out the globe. We are hardworking, believe in ourselves are dedicated and committed. In the field of medicine and health care we are also heading and India has entered among the selected countries were the liver and heart transplants are successfully performed that too at little cost as compared to other countries were the cost is too high. In spite of all this India is still lacking and still counted in developing nations. Rich is becoming richer and poor is becoming poorer. The development is seen only in big cities and leading metros but our villages were the majority of our population is living is still in bad shape .There are still certain places were the people are still backward and still lacking the necessary amenities and are living below poverty line. Our leaders do not have even time to see their condition and hear to their problems.

Our talented people mainly comprising of software professionals, doctors are moving out of country as they do not find good opportunities and recognition which they find in abundance outside their country. Our policy makers just make the policies but on paper only it is not followed properly.

Crime rate is increasing day by day and people have lost faith in law and judiciary. It is entirely in the hands of people who have both power and money and can do any thing. Entire system has been polluted. Corruption is on rise. For getting any work done we have to pay bribe without which no work is completed. Common man is the worst sufferer. Our own law protectors who are supposed to protect the people have themselves become the criminals and have close links with the criminals whom they release for mere some coins. Criminals roam freely as they know they will get easily freed by paying hefty sums to the law protectors. Most of the criminals have the blessings of some of our great leaders and no one dares to touch them. If by chance they are grabbed our great leaders get them freed. Our leaders are once again dividing this country on the basis of religion, caste and races for their personal gains without seeing its consequences

Our Identity is fading slowly as we are leaving our age old cultural values and blindly following the western culture. Families are fastly breaking with relations having no meaning. Jealousy, cult is on rise. We are becoming impatient and in tolerant. We are fastly loosing our moral as well as cultural values which are the main building blocks of this country. We are becoming unsympathetic having no sympathy for others. The bonding between various communities is decreasing. The people have become more self centered and believe in give and take. Simplicity and truthfulness has got lost some were. With it happiness and peace has also got lost. The Love and respect for each other has got vanished. People have become more money minded and can do any thing for the same. Recently there was one incident were some doctors who are considered to be the saviors killed the baby girls fetus in their mother womb just for the sake of money. What a heinous crime they are doing. Money has made the people so blind that they have forgotten what is right and what is wrong. It has polluted our senses.

There are still certain places were the girl child is killed before her birth. This shows that in spite of fast development our thinking has degraded. We ourselves do not know what we are doing which will prove dangerous for our growth in the coming times. We have to stop all this. We have to change ourselves and start to think for others and our country. Law has to made tougher and confidence building measures has to be taken so that common man feels secure and have faith in law and judiciary. Our judiciary system has to be revamped so that the justice is delivered in a very speedy way so that the right gets justice and accused is punished.
